To be honest, since the movie takes place outside of Hogwarts, the thought never even occurred to me that Hogwarts would play much of a role at all. I can see possibilities though! I can also see flashbacks of Newt when he was at Hogwarts considering where they ended Fantastic Beasts with mentioning Leta Lestrange. They certainly have more movies to bring up the story between her and Newt, but if they completely left it out of this next movie; that would be real ripoff and hardly worth mentioning her at the end of the first movie at all!

I believe we “know” Hogwarts will make an appearance in FB2 as there has been filming around familiar Hogwarts stand-ins.
And again, we can surmise from the casting that it’ll be throwback scenes to Newt & Leta’s days at the school; we should get to find out why Newt was expelled (if he was) and the story behind it.
And of course, we should get to see young Albus & Gellert and surely that terrible fight scene with Alberfoth and Arianna? Although that should be in Godric’s Hollow of course.
