About repairing buildings instantly: There hasn’t been any canon from Jo so far that it took a long time for Hogwarts to get repaired after the Battle of Hogwarts, and there were many casualties who needed medical attention at that time. So maybe the repair took place off-page/off-screen, we just didn’t witness it.

Plus in Fantastic Beasts, the Aurors were repairing Muggle buildings. Working on magical buildings like Hogwarts could be more complicated.

Theseus, from the very little we know about him, seems pretty Gryffindor to me. He has that Gryffindor swagger in his letter to Newt – that sort of brash “the world is my oyster and adventure is the pearl” attitude we see a lot in that House. I am, perhaps, being a bit stereotypical – of COURSE the war hero is a Gryffindor – but until we find out he has an incredible strategic mind, inspired unbelievable loyalty in his troops, or went behind enemy lines and lived to tell about it, I’m sticking to it.
